WELCOME

I'm a registered arts therapist (AThR), somatic practitioner, and yoga teacher based in Auckland, New Zealand. I offer creative arts therapy, somatic work, and online therapy to clients across New Zealand and Australia. Somatic (SoMa) simply means to listen to the language of the body—movement, stillness, and sensation—as pathways to healing, presence, and self-discovery. Transformative, trauma-informed sessions to support mental and physical well-being.

Creative Arts Therapy

Creative Arts Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that integrates the creative process—such as visual arts, movement, sound, and writing—with talk-based approaches to support emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing.

Grounded in clinical training and somatic awareness, this therapy offers a way to explore feelings, process experiences, and build self-understanding through the body as well as the mind. It can be especially helpful for people who find it difficult to express themselves with words alone.

Sessions are tailored to individual needs and may support nervous system regulation, trauma recovery, self-expression, and personal growth.

  • A Registered Arts Therapist (AThR) is a trained mental health professional who holds a Clinical Master’s qualification in Arts Therapy (e.g. MAAT Clinical).

  • Arts Therapists work across a wide range of settings, including private practice, schools, hospitals, community organisations, and wellbeing clinics.

  • This work supports people of all ages and backgrounds—individuals, groups, and communities—through various life stages and challenges.

  • Arts Therapists are trained in a range of psychotherapeutic and creative modalities, including talk therapy, visual arts, somatics, movement, voicework, mindfulness-based approaches, and play therapy.

  • Therapy may support emotional processing, trauma recovery, relational issues, and broader mental or medical health needs.

  • Practitioners must be clinically registered with a professional body such as ANZACATA, which ensures ethical standards, supervision, and evidence-based practice.
