Testimonials
“The way in which Dan engages the students in movement and their bodies and engages them in using their voice, finding the power and expressing it, is quite magical”. Jude Hynes - Academic Director at Auckland Yoga Academy
"Yoga practice with Dan is a wonderful way to let go from all the tension that builds up in your body and mind. He is a deeply caring yoga instructor and a gentle soul that will look after you during the session. I highly recommend anyone with or without yoga background to allow themselves to experience this practice with him".
"I always walk away feeling so positive and relaxed".

Yoga Experience
My path with yoga began over a decade ago through the lens of performance and embodied voice work. What started as a practice to support artistic expression soon became a foundation for healing, regulation, and deeper self-understanding.
I have trained in trauma-informed, somatic, and classical yoga approaches, completing over 500 hours of teacher training. My teaching is rooted in sensitivity to each individual’s needs, drawing on breath, movement, and presence to support nervous system regulation, embodiment, and connection.
I am registered with Yoga New Zealand and bring a trauma-informed, body-based approach to yoga that complements my clinical arts therapy practice. I honour the relational and experiential nature of this work, shaped by my own long-term studies with teachers and my ongoing commitment to learning and integrity in the field.
Trauma Informed Yoga
Trauma-informed yoga is a gentle, therapeutic approach that prioritizes safety, choice, and body awareness. It supports clients in reconnecting with their bodies through grounding practices, breathwork, and adaptable movement. With a focus on nervous system regulation and emotional resilience, sessions are guided by invitational language and a deep respect for personal pace and boundaries—offering a supportive space for healing.
